The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath
anoited me to preach the gospel to the poor; He
hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach
deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight
to the blind, to set liberty them that are bruised,
to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luke 4:18-19 (KJV)
At Celebration Church you will find we have a propensity to:
- Glorify and Worship God!
- Bring, as well as speak light into darkness!
- Advance God's Kingdom on Earth!
- Bring salvation to the lost, healing to the sick and deliverance to those in need!
- Reach those who need hope in our community!
- Walk in the authority given by Jesus!
- Yield to the prompting of the Holy Spirit!
We are a fellowship of all ages and genders commited to be a funnel for His use; through us to others.
The following assertions were born from the examiniation of sometimes painful criticism as to what some may believe to be "necessary" in a church
today. We believe the Scriptures dictate for us what it means to be the Body of Christ and have purposed the that end.
At Celebration Church:
- Our Worship services are not designed to entertain, we encourage interaction, reflection and expressions of worship which bring glory, honor and devotion to God.
- Our Congregation is not an audience. We believe every person is an individual called by God and that He wants to use you.
- Our Music is not a concert performance but simple, pure and humble adoration expressed from our hearts.
- Our Preaching does not bring trivial comfort, we teach God's word to inspire you to make choices that will change your life forever in great ways, to provoke thought as well as action.
- Our Theology is neither a marketing strategy nor a business enterprise. It is not about us and what we want and desire from Him, but about Him, what He wants and desires from us.
- Our Counsel is not a promise of prosperity. It is not about making us comfortable; it is about us being conformed to the image of Christ. We seek truth and sometimes truth hurts.
- Our Ministry does not fragment into groups; the church needs the energy of the young and the wisdom of the old to digest the Word, talk about it, lay hands and minister to one another. Therefore we encourage people of all ages and gender to worship and minister in a unified position of strength.
- Our Community is not a gathering of sheep; our focus is not inward, but outward, outside the walls of our building.
- Our Success is not a membership statistic, our success lies in equipping the Saints, individually, to do the work of the ministry, fulfilling Christ's mandate for us on earth
